ABOUT US

Blue House Productions offers dance videography and editing services to the greater Columbus area, immortalizing the impermanence of live performance. Offering innovation to the field of dance by foregrounding the specificity, scope, and exigency of dance documentation, we aim to make space for wider possibilities of preservation and representation.

Grace Koenig (she/her): Grace is a passionate interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of dance, architecture, and film. Most interested in designing the intersection between multiple artistic mediums, especially choreography and videography, she graduated from The Ohio State University with a BFA in Dance and a BS in Architecture. Her passions are choreography, architectural theory, and shooting lots of dance with BHP.

Ashton Wise (she/her): A graduate of the Ohio State University's BFA Dance program, Ashton has spent the past five years not only exploring embodied movement possibilities, but taking care to engage with the choreography of the camera. Through both creative and documentary work, Ashton has witnessed the inherent politics of the camera and the power dynamics of shooting video. As she continues to push for more equitable and robust dance documentation practices, the co-founding of Blue House Productions has served as a part of her foundational philosophy into and out of the work.
